I think their main difference lies in the channels they use for marketing, the cost and the audience. For instance,traditional marketing use newsletters, billboards, flyers, newspaper print ads, television and Radio. Whereas digital use internet and social media platforms, which is also cheaper than traditional marketing and gives a chance to analyze a campaign.

Digital marketing gives a platform for community engagement and there is one on one conversation whereas in traditional there is no engagement and the conversation is just one way. Digital Marketing is free (unless you want to advertise) as it is just about creating good and engaging content whereas in traditional marketing one has to pay. What I love most about digital is also that you can do deep analysis on your campaigns, the reach, engagement etc. Whereas in traditional there is poor analytics.

My work rotates in all spheres of digital marketing. Thus, I manage the company’s social media channels (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google my Business, TripAdvisor…), I constantly optimize content on the website, write blog posts, advertise on some of the social media platforms and also liaise with the PR team.
